The Chesterton United Methodist Net
Youth Ministry seeks to be an open and friendly environment
where all youth in 5th to 12th grades are accepted and welcomed.
Net stands for "New Experiences Together" explored
through fellowship, worship, study and service. We seek to
develop disciples of Jesus Christ and instill in each youth
the importance of their relationship with Christ and His Church.

Confirmation Class
Beginning in September all 7th graders
or any youth who has not been confirmed can attend Confirmation
classes on Wednesday nights. During this time we will study
Youth Alpha, basic United Methodist beliefs and history, seasons of the
church year, Biblical principles and concepts and the meaning
of Confirmation.
Each participant is on a journey. The journey does not end
when he or she decides to join the church, but continues throughout
their lives as they grow and develop in the faith. Confirmation
literally means "with firmness" and is the student's
opportunity to make firm the decision that was made
for them at their baptism. Each youth makes the personal decision
of joining Christ's Church and claiming God's gift of Jesus
Christ for themselves. Confirmation is not the end of the
process, but is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to
Jesus Christ and His Church.
